Controversy over massive Mega Moolah Jackpot win
Following the announcement of the win came a new announcement that the claims were untrue. While the Mega Moolah jackpot was won, it was not won at Blackjack Ballroom, but rather at the Palace Group online casino, Spin Palace casino. This has led to a war of words between Microgaming online casino groups.
There is fierce competition between online casinos and it does wonders for the reputation and player incentive at an online casino to have a player win a massive progressive jackpot through them. There is now confirmation that the big winner did in fact come from Spin Palace Casino and they are hoping to release a statement from the winner, Mrs. P, shortly.
Roger Raatgever, CEO for Microgaming stated: “We are delighted that Mega Moolah progressive jackpot was won on August 29th, 2010 and we will confirm that even though this win was claimed by many other casinos, the truth is that the winning player was gambling at Spin Palace Casino.”
It is expected that throughout the coming week other casino will lay claim to the big win in an attempt to encourage players to join their sites. These statements may be particularly contradictory until a statement is released by the winner herself and the online casino that she won at produces their official statement.
The Summertime slots game is one of four slots games that make up the Mega Moolah series which was produced by software provider, Microgaming. It is not as popular as the original Mega Moolah game, but this is likely to change following the big win.
